Houston is the fourth-largest city in the United States and the largest city in the state of Texas. It was named after then-President of the Republic of Texas—former General Sam Houston—who had commanded at the Battle of San Jacinto, which took place 25 miles east of where the city was established.
The main reason that we went here was to visit the NASA Houston Space Centre. However upon arrival we learned that it wasn't that good and a lot of reviews were saying it was a waste of money. We decided therefore to give this a miss and save our money for the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida.
There wasn't really anything else here that we wanted to do so we took a walk around the city centre and spent the rest of the time relaxing and researching the rest of the trip.
